COST: For all firefighters outside Cherokee County charged at 4 hr. segments: 1st four hours at $5.00 and each additional four hours at $2.00. No charge for Cherokee County Fire Fighters unless stated.
The classes listed below will be at the Cherokee Co./Tahlequah Regional Training Center unless otherwise stated.

Accountability System Training
August 19 6:00 PM to 10:00PM
Accountability System training for implementation and usage of system.

Engine Operations Class
August 30 and 31 6:00PM to 10:00PM
This course is designed for drivers/operators. Will cover multiple aspects of pumper operations in regards to rural fire suppression including drafting, static supply and apparatus requirements.

Basic Auto Extrication
September 14, 16, 21 & 23 6:00PM to 10:00PM
A basic auto extrication class, course will cover Responders safety, Incident management, Basis Extrication tool identification and use. Practical exercise will consist of basic vehicle extrication methods and safety.

VFFP Burn
A 8 hr. refresher burn for firefighters who have completed VFFP, Advanced/Structural, and/or FFI.
September 28th and 30th. 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
A 4 hr refresher going over SCBA PPE, Communications, and Accountability. The Live Burn will be the 2nd night. Must be in the first class to participate in the live burn. will include

October 5,7,12,14, 19,21,26,28, November 2, 4, and 9.
7:00PM to 10:00PM
Covering basic fire fighter skills.

Structural/Advanced Vol. Fire Fighter
November 9, 11, 16 and 18 6:00PM to 10:00PM
This course is designed to enhance the VFFP course with 16 hours of practical training exercises including fire streams & hose handling, incident management, ventilation, PPE/SCBA, Rescue and Ladders.

**Prerequisite to this class is the completion of the 10 class Volunteer Firefighters Practices. See below to complete form and bring to first class.
Single Engine Response
December 6 and 7 6:00PM to 10:00PM
Course will prepare fire department officers for response to rural structure fire with limited resources.

Firefighter II Class
Here are the dates for the firefighter II class that the tax board approved in March,
Please call OSU/FST to register and you do not have to have all the pre- recs to take
the class just firefighter I but you wont be certified until you meet the rest of them so
there is no reason not to take this class. The dates are
September 19th 8 to 5
September 24th 6 to 10
September 25th 8 to 5
September 26th 8 to 5
September 27th 6 to 10
Test date October 2nd 8 am
Cherokee County Fire Departments: If you want an Accountability Class at your department, call us. We can set up two classes.
We would like to set up a class for 2 departments at a time
