NEW CLASS
Basic Concepts of Thermal Imaging Camera and RIT
September 19 & 22 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
This class designed to give the student basic knowledge of the use, handling, care and limitations of the Thermal Imaging Camera. This also gives information to initiate, run and recover a downed firefighter. 6hrs
Basic Auto Extrication
October 4, 6, 11 & 13 6:00PM to 10:00PM A basic auto extrication class, course will cover Responders safety, Incident management, Basis Extrication tool identification and use. Practical exercise will consist of basic vehicle extrication methods and safety. Limit 20
Structural/Advanced Vol. Fire Fighter
November 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 &17 6:00PM to 10:00PM
This course is designed to enhance the VFFP course with practical training exercises including fire streams & hose handling, incident management, ventilation, PPE/SCBA, Rescue and Ladders. Limit 20
**Prerequisite to this class is the completion of the Volunteer Firefighters Practices class. See below to complete form and bring to first class.
Firefighters Dangers
December 13 & 15 7:00PM to 10:00PM This class will cover the possible dangers facing firefighter responding to emergency calls. Limit 30
Mayday
January 21 (Saturday) 8:00AM to 5:00PM
This is a very intense course designed to enhance firefighter safety. Participants will participate in exercises designed to trap and incapacitate while conducting firefighting1 evolutions. Limit 20
Volunteer Firefighter Practices
January 17, 19, 24, 26, 31, February 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, & March 1 7:00 to 10:00
This OSU class is designed for entry level training to give the student basic concepts of firefighter knowledge. Limit 30
Auto Extrication Update
March 13, 15 6:00 PM t 10:00 PM
This class designed for a firefighter who has not attended an Auto Extrication class in the last several years to give the firefighter updated information on hybrid vehicles, fuels and air bag technology.
Single Company Tactics
April 3 & 5 6:00PM to 10:00PM
Course will prepare fire department officers for response to rural structure fire with limited resources. Limit 30
