THE SPRING VALLEY
VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

6726 W. 710 Rd. Hulbert, OK 74441
Established 1992

State Licensed
First Responder Agency

Thank you for checking for more information.

We are a volunteer fire department with 26 firefighters, two stations, 2 helipads, and 14 trucks located in North West Cherokee County, between Hulbert, Peggs and Fort Gibson Lake. We protect 77 square miles in our rural area. Sequoyah Resort Park, Western Hills Lodge, Tri-B Nursery and The Clear Creek Monastery are all within our coverage area. We continue to look for land on which to build a third station. This addition would bring the eastern part of our district into our current ISO rating. The Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department has earned an ISO Class 7 rating. This has lowered the home insurance costs for almost all of the residents of our coverage area. If you or your insurance company have any questions on this please call the numbers listed below.

In addition to providing fire protection, education and suppression, we provide medical first Responder service (at present we have 15 first responders) in cooperation with the two county ambulance services. We have work night and training every Monday evening.

We rely on funding generated by our membership dues and fund-raisers throughout the year, as well as some monies from the County and State.

Our annual meeting is held on the first Saturday in October. We prepare and serve our special hand made Indian Taco Dinner along with drinks and desserts. Door prizes, election of officers and any business necessary, along with speakers, reports on the year’s activities highlight the meeting.

Our membership drive takes place year round and our dues are only $25.00 per year. You can mail you dues to 6726 W. 710 Rd. Hulbert, OK 74441.
Thank you for your consideration.

If you are interested in volunteering with our department or have any special skills that may be useful
