We are a volunteer fire department with 15 firefighters, 2 stations, and eight trucks located in the area of Norwood, within Cherokee County, We protect approximately 26 square miles. Our main goal is to provide adequate fire suppression, and give a helping hand to our area.
In addition to providing fire protection and auto rescue, we provide a First Responder service in cooperation with the two county ambulance services, Muskogee and Cherokee Nation.
We rely on funding generated by our membership dues and our fund-raisers throughout the year, as well as some monies from the County and the State.
Our membership drive takes place in November; our dues are $25 per year. You can mail your dues to our address shown above, or more importantly you can stop by or call any of us for a fire fighter application. Our fire fighters do not have to pay dues.
