Thank you for checking for more information.
We are a volunteer fire department with 23 firefighters, two stations, and nine trucks located in North central Cherokee County, between Hwy 82 and Hwy 10. We protect approximately 50 square miles. Our third station opened November 1st of 2007. This station is located next to Lowrey School.
Lowrey Volunteer Fire Department has earned an ISO Class 7 rating. This has lowered the home insurance costs for all of the residents of our coverage area. If you or your insurance company have any questions on this please call the numbers listed below.
In addition to providing fire protection and auto rescue, we provide a First Responder service in cooperation with the two county ambulance services, having five EMT’s and five First Responders.
We rely on funding generated by our membership dues and our fund-raisers throughout the year, as well as some monies from the County and the State.
Our membership drive takes place in June, our dues are $25.00 per year. You can mail you dues to P. O. Box 116 Moodys, OK 745444.
Thank you for your consideration.
