LOWREY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

ISO Class 7                        PO Box 116                        State Licensed

Moodys, OK 74444       First Response Agency

                                         Established 1982

Thank you for checking for more information.

We are a volunteer fire department with 26 firefighters, three stations, and ten trucks located in North central Cherokee County, between Hwy 82 and Hwy 10.  We protect approximately 50 square miles.

Lowrey Volunteer Fire Department has earned an ISO Class 7 rating.  This has lowered the home insurance costs for the residents of our coverage area.  If you or your insurance company has any questions on this please call the numbers listed below.

In addition to providing fire protection and auto rescue, we provide a Medical First Responder service in cooperation with the two county ambulance services, having four EMT’s and five Medical First Responders.

We rely on funding generated by our membership dues and our fund-raisers throughout the year, as well as some monies from the County and the State.

Our membership drive takes place in June, our dues are $25.00 per year.  You can mail you dues to P. O. Box 116 Moodys, OK  74444.  Thank you for your consideration.

If you are interested in volunteering with our department or have

any special skills that we may use contact Larry Watts, Fire Chief, 456-6773.

All Emergency calls should be directed to 911.

If you have any questions, you may call board member Larry

Trammel at 456-9753 and Kent Davis at 458-0564, or Fire Chief

Larry Watts at 456-6773.  The non-emergency phone number to the fire department is 456-6444.
